Tree Art in Ireland

International editions of "The Overstory"

Successful Exhibition comes to Limerick

The exhibition of mail art connected to the book The Overstory will be shown at the Church Gallery in Limerick in October.

The collection consists of works by artists that responded to a call of the British Reading Agency for the Word Book Night. The prerequisite was a connection to Richard Powers’ book, which the New York Times called a “delightfully choreographed, ultimately breathtaking hoodwink”. The real heroes of the book are huge, ancient trees.

The exhibition is organized by the staff team at Limerick School of Art and Design. The artworks have been scanned and collated onto A2 print outs for the show and will also be projected individually into the gallery space.
