Green Cards from Britain

Works by Rachel Marsh and Neil Crawford

The mail art calls for the British World Book Night always include a postcard swap at the end of the main exhibition. This year, participants in the Tell the Trees project also received a print by Rachel Marsh:

Mycelial Whispers (top left) is letterpress printed on PaperWise (i..e., paper made from agricultural crop waste), dyed with oak gall that Rachel has collected on her walks and modified with iron and soda ash.

The card I received is an example of visual poetry titled Can’t see the Wood for Trees (top right) by Neil Crawford. In keeping with the spirit of the competition, the author used two fonts called Sycomore and Willow.
