Mother, Father, I want to tell you…

Mail art by Gerald Jatzek, Elisa Rioda, Henny Schaapman, and Charlotte Geister

Wim Scheere, a multilingual Belgian artist and poet, published a very interesting call. For his project, he asked mail artists to reflect on the following sentences:

  • In the eyes of my mother I see …
  • In the voice of my father I hear …

The contributors were completely free in their choice of artistic expression as long as it included a sentence of maximum 10 words on a Postcard.

All submissions were exhibited at the Nederlandse Vereniging (Dutch Association), Leuvensesteenweg 4a, 3080 Tervuren, Belgium, between May 27 and June 1st 2025.

The works are now collected in two videos on YouTube.
